Christmas has come and gone. Sometimes I feel like there is so much anticipation, planning, and expectations for Christmas day and once it is here the time flies by and is over in a flash. When it’s over we are left with full stomachs, warm hearts, and hopefully, wonderful memories of time spent with the ones we love. This year my wife and I didn’t make many plans for Christmas. We were expecting the arrival of our first-born child on December 22. So we thought we would take the holidays in stride because we didn’t know what it would be like to be new parents. We were able to enjoy the Christmas Eve service and we spent Christmas day with my parents. The day was spent opening gifts, watching movies, playing games, and eating more than anyone should. However, by Christmas day, we still had no baby. On Boxing Day we went to visit my Wife’s extended family at their annual Boxing Day get together. It was a very full house as the family is quickly doubling in size. However, we still enjoyed visiting with/stumbling over cousins, aunts, and uncles. So, the Christmas season has come and gone and now we are still patiently awaiting the arrival of this baby. I think I am a bit more patient than my wife. Hopefully, we will be able to ring in the New Year as a family of three. I want to wish you and your family all the best through the rest of this holiday season and I hope the New Year brings great hope and many blessings.
